Inner Conflict Resolution (Parts Therapy or Ego-State Therapy )
Inner conflicts are characterized by confrontations of different parts of underlying states of our mind (various aspects of our ‘subpersonalities’ and also called ego states or developmental stages) pulling in opposite directions. In many cases, our behavioral or thought patterns are influenced by the teachings of our parents or caregivers during our earlier developmental stages. If we were taught to trust our inner wisdom (e.g., guided by our feelings), we could have been at ease knowing the best choices for us. Instead, we have inner struggles—the constant battles, which leak our creative life energy.
Parts Therapy in conjunction with Gestalt Therapy, which is focused on the individual's experience in the present moment with self-regulating adjustment their overall situation (e.g., individual relationship with personal, social & environmental contexts), is the process of calling out any or all parts involved with the person’s specific issue and communicate directly to achieve a desired result while in a trance state.
Parts therapy for inner conflict resolution is a mediation approach between two primary parts in conflict--conflict part and motivating part; however, occasionally more than two parts are called out in order to get a harmonious resolution for all. Parts therapy and Regression Therapy are administered especially for Weight Management, Smoking Cessation, Anxiety, Depression, Phobia, PTDS, and other Unresolved issues including Self-Empowerment.
